The City of Jersey City has proposed that property taxes be raised by 35%, effective immediately if passed. The next two City Council meetings will include discussion and voting on the tax increase on their agendas. The public hearing and council voting on the proposed tax increase is scheduled for the second meeting below (Feb 24).
