The Jersey City Police Department has asked us to share the following information with our members and neighbors:

CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY
ROUTE 1&9/TONNELE AVENUE SOUTHBOUND
CLOSURE ALERT

Please be advised that underground utility work (utility duct, sanitary sewer, water main) along Route 1&9 /Tonnele Avenue southbound will require a full closure of all southbound lanes beginning Friday, September 19th at 11:00pm through Sunday, September 20th at 5:00am. Trucks and buses heading southbound must seek alternate routes via County Road westbound/Route 3/Route 21/Route 17 or the New Jersey Turnpike. Cars will be detoured to Manhattan Avenue to Kennedy Boulevard to the Route 139 ramp to the Tonnele Circle to Route 1&9T or Route 1&9 southbound.
