'Connect the Parks' Needs Your Help - Monday May 18th 4:00pm - State Public Meeting on Waterfront Park
The Jersey City Waterfront Parks Conservancy has asked the HPHA to forward the following information to our members.
************************
The State has scheduled a meeting (see below) to communicate their plan to develop a portion of the waterfront walkway that is in desperate need of renovation & protection. This meeting will test the community's interest a connected world class waterfront park for Jersey City. Connected not only in design, but physically with a bridge (see concept attached) This park can rival the quality of those found along the waterfront in Manhattan. We need our supporters, and the family and friends of our supporters, to attend this meeting to ensure the State hears the voice of the community of Jersey City.
The Connect the Parks design concept was based on your input and was funded entirely from your donations. So please do what you can to attending the meeting below. If you can't attend for what ever reason, please ask a friend or a retired neighbor to attend on your behalf. These are your tax dollars at work and it's an important step towards getting a world class park on the waterfront for the residents of Jersey City.
