Neighborhood event: Race For Open Space
Save the date!
On October 25th, join the Jersey City Waterfront Parks Conservancy for the 1st annual Race For Open Space. All funds raised will go directly to the "Connect the Parks" waterfront park initiative of protecting and enhancing our waterfront open space. It's a 5K Race (USATF certified) and a 3K Walk. There will be Kids dashes too!! Bring the whole family to support open space!!
Date: Oct 25th - rain or shine
Location: Peninsula Park, Jersey City, NJ (next to the Korean War Memorial)
Registration: 7:15am
Run and Walk Start: 9:00am
Kids Dashes: 10:00am

Win a 32" Toshiba 1080p HDTV!!
Be a 'Seed Planter' and help raise funds for the park design. Pledge forms may be found at www.raceforopenspace.org. The top Seed Planter takes home a 32" 1080p HDTV, courtesy of Toshiba!!
Volunteer!!
We still need some volunteers to help with race day functions such as course and parking marshalls, registration and serving refreshments. To volunteer for the event e-mail connecttheparks@gmail.com and let us know you'd like to help out. Volunteers will be needed from 7:00am to 10:30am.
