The HPHA annual Thanksgiving dinner will be Sunday, November 23rd.

Triumph Restaurant will be hosting this year's dinner. We hope to see you there!

The HPHA is now accepting nominations for open officer and director positions.

If you would like to nominate someone for an officer or director position, please email nominations@paulushook.net with the person's name, address, and contact information. Note that nominees must meet criteria below to be considered.

Nominations will close on November 23rd at midnight, in accordance with the bylaws.

To be eligible for a director position, members must have attended at least 3 meetings in the prior twelve months (including the December election meeting).

To be eligible for an officer position, members must have attended at least 3 meetings in the prior six months (including the December election meeting).

The annual HPHA officers and directors elections will be at the next general membership meeting, December 4th.

To vote, members must have attended at least 3 meetings prior to the December meeting, and members must have paid their dues in full. (Dues are $5 and can be paid at the meeting). Members must attend the meeting and vote in person.

Save the date!
On October 25th, join the Jersey City Waterfront Parks Conservancy for the 1st annual Race For Open Space. All funds raised will go directly to the "Connect the Parks" waterfront park initiative of protecting and enhancing our waterfront open space. It's a 5K Race (USATF certified) and a 3K Walk. There will be Kids dashes too!! Bring the whole family to support open space!!

Volunteer!!
We still need some volunteers to help with race day functions such as course and parking marshalls, registration and serving refreshments. To volunteer for the event e-mail connecttheparks@gmail.com and let us know you'd like to help out. Volunteers will be needed from 7:00am to 10:30am.

Due to the water main break yesterday, Washington Boulevard south of 18th st, east of Marin Blvd. between 14th and 18th st will remain closed to at least Wednesday evening rush hour.
